The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) was established in accordance with Law No. 32 of 1968 on Currency, the Central Bank of Kuwait, and the Organization of Banking Business.The establishment of the CBK was in response to the need to keep pace with both domestic and international developments. This is particularly true in light of the increasingly important role that monetary and financial policy plays in contributing to the advancement of social and economic development in the country.
